Dressing Your Truth is the only system that looks on the inside to determine what you should wear! See how Dressing Your Truth lights up this fun Type 1 Woman!
This is my friend Emily. She is the must fun, lighthearted, upbeat person I know! And she is a Type One in the world of Dressing Your Truth.
What is Dressing Your Truth?
Dressing Your Truth is a program developed by a woman named Carol Tuttle. It’s a whole system of style that is based on a person’s natural energy, rather than their hair, skin, or eye color, or body shape.
There are four “Types” in the Dressing Your Truth system. Each type looks best in certain colors, fabrications, patterns, cuts, and design lines.
With Emily, you can see that she is a cute girl and will look darling no matter what. But in the “before” picture above where she is wearing black, her head seems to be floating separate from the black! There is a complete disconnect between the feeling on her face and the feeling in her clothes.
In the “after” picture, everything flows seamlessly! The colors, her hairstyle, and even the cute flower make a beautiful whole where nothing is competing for attention or looks out of place. This is what we want, no matter which Type we are!
This system throws conventional wisdom on its head, and it’s amazing! It works for everyone.
The first step is figuring out which type you are. To help you do that, I have a post explaining each Type in detail!
How Did Dressing Your Truth Change Emily’s Life?
I interviewed Emily about Dressing Your Truth and learned about the impact it has had in every area of her life. Read on and see if you can relate to Emily or if you know anyone like Emily!
Me: How did you first learn about Dressing Your Truth and what attracted you to it?
Emily: I think you mentioned it to me. I liked that it was based on everything–movement, physical appearance, etc. instead of just personality. I also thought the idea of clothes and colors that match your energy was intriguing.
Me: How did you know you were a Type 1?
Emily: There was never any doubt once I learned each type. I’m just so very Type One that it was glaringly obvious to me, and likely everyone else, too!
Me: What are some challenges you have faced as a Type One woman?
Emily: Following through, honoring commitments, procrastination, and staying focused.
Me: What do you love about being a Type One woman?
Emily: So much! I’m so adaptable and naturally happy and positive. People always tell me me I cheer them up and bring enthusiasm and fun. I’m creative and talented at bringing people together and celebrating. I love bringing people joy! Being Type One is stupendous!
Me: How has knowing your Type and the Type of others changed your relationships with them?
Emily: The biggest change has been with my husband. He’s a Type Four with a secondary Type Three and we had fallen into a child/parent dynamic in our relationship.
