The just-released Sally’s Cookie Addiction cookbook is your new MUST HAVE cookbook. All the best cookie recipes, along with stunning pictures and plenty of personality round out this instant classic.
I love cookbooks. Every time I go to Costco, I longingly touch the cookbooks and hope any family members with me will take note and get me one or two for Christmas. But the problem with cookbooks is that you never really know which ones you are going to love and use all the time, and which ones are just going to take up space on your shelf. So with that in mind, I would like to unequivocally give my endorsement to the brand new cookbook, Sally’s Cookie Addiction.
Yes, I know Sally. We met at the Everything Food Conference in Salt Lake City in May. No, she did not ask me to write this. She has no idea I am doing it! It’s just been quite a while since I’ve been THIS excited about a cookbook, and I wanted to share it with you!
I pre-ordered this cookbook from Amazon (you can order it here or by clicking on any of the other links in this post). I waited and waited for it to be shipped, checking my mailbox every day with great anticipation. Finally, it arrived, and I immediately opened the box and looked at every page. That night, I couldn’t sleep, so I got up at 1:00 in the morning and read the whole book!
Needless to say, I am super excited to try all the recipes! Here are the ones I’m going to try first.
Pumpkin Spice Sugar Cookies. I actually just made these today, and they turned out fabulous! (Watch for my post with the recipe soon!)
Mint Chocolate Slice and Bake Cookies are next on my list. I LOVE shortbread cookies, but I’ve never made a chocolate version. When I make these, I’m going to use peppermint essential oil to really boost the peppermint flavor. Don’t they look so fancy and gorgeous?
I’ve always wanted to learn how to make biscotti. Can’t you just imagine these Chocolate Peppermint Biscotti dipped in hot chocolate? I know–it’s a bit of a chocolate overload (as if there could be such a thing). I’m willing to take the risk.
These Autumn Spice Oatmeal cookies are calling my name! These really caught my eye because of the pepitas! (Pumpkin seeds). I recently started buying pumpkin seeds from the bulk bin at Sprouts to use in granola. I never thought of using them in cookies, but I can’t wait to make these!
Seriously all of the recipes in this book look incredible. There are gorgeous pictures for each recipe, and lots of helpful, detailed instructions. This is one cookbook that I am going to use again and again. If you are a cookie lover (or know a cookie lover) this is the perfect book!
