Caramel Apple Crisp Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 1 recipe for The Easiest Caramel Sauce Ever
  • 1 recipe for Crumble Topping for Ice Cream
  • 1 recipe for Classic Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Ingredients for Apple Pie Filling:
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp. corn starch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch of cloves
  • 1 cup finely chopped apple about one medium apple
Instructions
  1. Cook all Apple Pie Filling ingredients over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Break the Crumble Topping for Ice Cream into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Make the Classic Vanilla Ice Cream. When ice cream has reached soft-serve consistency, transfer it to an airtight container, layering it with the caramel, apple pie filling, and crumble topping. (Note: You will mostly likely only use about half of the can of caramel and half of the crumble topping). Freeze for several hours or overnight.
