Strawberry Pretzel Ice Cream
Author: Melissa Howell
Ingredients
  • One recipe of Pretzel Topping for Ice Cream
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries thawed
  • 1 3 oz. package of strawberry gelatin
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
Instructions
  1. Puree strawberries in a blender. Alternately, you can pulse the strawberries if you would like chunks of fruit in your ice cream.
  2. Pour the blended strawberries into a bowl and add the sugar and strawberry gelatin. Mix well.
  3. Add the whole milk and vanilla and mix with a wire whisk until everything is evenly incorporated.
  4. Add the heavy whipping cream and mix well.
  5. Pour into your ice cream maker and follow the manufacturer's directions.
  6. When ice cream reaches soft-serve consistency, transfer to an airtight container, layering with pieces of the pretzel crust. Freeze for several hours or overnight. (You may not use all the pretzel crust, depending on your personal preference).
