Ingredients
  • 2 pounds ground beef, 70-80% lean
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14. oz.) can diced or stewed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
  1. Cook beef in a large, non-stick skillet over medium heat until brown. Drain oil and then transfer the beef to another container.

  2. Return the pan to the stove and add the diced onion and garlic and cook over medium heat until onions begin to brown. Add a little olive oil if needed.

  3. Add the tomatoes to the onions and garlic and simmer until slightly thickened, 8-10 minutes, breaking up any large chunks of tomato.

  4. Add the rest of the seasonings, along with the cooked ground beef to the pan and simmer for about ten minutes.

  5. Serve in taco shells or soft tacos with all your favorite fixings, like cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, avocados, etc.
