Make these super easy Chicken Fajitas with Simply Organic Classic Fajita Simmer Sauce! Dinner can be ready in only 20 minutes!

I LOVE fajitas! I just can’t get enough of the bold colors and flavors and tender chicken. While I order them at restaurants, I have only made them at home a couple of times. I didn’t really know which spices to use or how to make everything tender and juicy.
That’s why I was so excited when I was offered the chance to review Simply Organic Simmer Sauces. I was sent three varieties: the Classic Fajita Simmer Sauce, the Southwest Taco Simmer Sauce, and the Mild Taco Simmer Sauce.
Of course I busted out the Classic Fajita Simmer Sauce and went to town!
First I cut up some vibrant peppers and onions.
Then I stir-fried the onions and peppers on medium-high heat in some vegetable oil for a few minutes until some of the edges just started to blacken. I didn’t want them to get super soft, so I just blasted them with heat to really release the flavor. Then I removed them from the pan.
I added a little more oil to the pan, turned the heat down to medium, and added in some thinly-sliced chicken. I am not showing you a picture of raw chicken, because that is not attractive. So I’ll just wait and show you some cooked chicken and vegetables. I’m looking out for you here.
Once the chicken was cooked and no longer pink, I added the vegetables back into the pan. Then I opened my lovely packet of simmer sauce and just poured it right in.
One packet of sauce went a really long way. I had enough fajita fixins for at least eight people and thought I would need to use two packets. But one was all I needed, and the amount was just perfect.
Once I got the sauce in there, I just stirred it around and let it simmer for about three minutes. Look how amazing this all looks now.
Now I was ready to assemble my fajitas. A lot of times, I really like to load mine up with sour cream, guacamole, and cheese. But this time I just really let the flavors shine and simply enhanced them with a squeeze of lime juice.
(Those are my husband’s big man hands. I do not have big man hands, thank you very much).
See how colorful and tender everything looks? Here’s what’s so great about the Simply Organic Fajita Simmer Sauce. It’s not spicy, which means kids will eat it. But it does have a sneaky little hint of heat at the end for the adults.
Know what else I love about it? My daughter, who is allergic to everything, can eat it. It doesn’t have any weird ingredients or fillers or thickeners or poisonous substances (like MSG) or artificial anything. Take a look.
This summer, my girls are all taking turns making dinner. My allergic daughter (I really should call her something else) is excited about these sauces, because she can easily make tacos or other Mexican-themed dishes, and then eat them. Eating normal food is new for her, and it’s quite thrilling. Eating normal food is not new for me, but I’m always thrilled about eating 🙂
Don’t you want to reach through your screen right now and eat these fajitas? I do! Luckily, I still have more simmer sauce so I can make them again 🙂
Here’s a picture of the three simmer sauce varieties I was sent. (I just saw that they have a fourth variety–Red Enchilada Simmer Sauce. It looks amazing, too!)
If you want an easy, fast, flavorful dinner (and really, don’t we all want that?) then these Easy Chicken Fajitas should be on your menu. Make them ASAP. Not to be bossy or anything, but sometimes I can’t help myself 🙂

Starting to pre-plan my recipes for Back to School time and this made the list.
Awesome! You will love them!
This fajita recipe looks delicious. I use Simply Organic spices but I didn’t know they had simmer sauces. I cant wait to look for it this weekend at my local supermarket.
The simmer sauces are new, and they are great! I hope you like them!
