Most of us have closets we would rather ignore. Some of us close the door so we can’t see the disorder inside. Some of us can’t close the door because too many things are blocking it.
You know you should clean out your closet, but it seems like such boring job that will take a long time. “If only it could be fun,” you think.
I’m here to tell you that it can be! I have come up with a little “game” to help you begin clearing your closet and drawers of everything you no longer need or want.
If you have read any of my previous posts about decluttering your closet based on the KonMari method (like this super popular one), you will know that all the decisions you make are based on love and joy. (I just sounded a little bit like a hippie right there. Sorry about that).
The basic premise of the KonMari method is that if something doesn’t bring you joy (or if you don’t love something), you don’t need it in your life. In order to decide if you love something or not, you have to hold it–not just look at it. I have taken things a step further to really help clarify things for you.
Enter the Mystery Closet Challenge! I am debating whether or not I should tell you what it is or just have you sign up for it to find out the secret. After all, it is a “mystery” closet challenge. Let’s just say that it involves actually wearing clothes (as opposed to going naked! Ha ha! Just kidding! Not really. You don’t have to go naked. I’m not kidding about that). ANYHOW, after doing this challenge, you should be able to tell for sure which clothes to keep and which to get rid of. That’s all I’m going to say.
To join the challenge (or even if you just want to sign up to see what it is all about), fill out the form below. Once you do, you will get an email explaining all the rules to you (there are only three).
The challenge only lasts one week. I will be sending you an email every day for that week to check in with you and give you helpful hints. At the end of the week, you will get a special gift from me!
So sign up now! You will have fun and start decluttering your closet at the same time!
